Man in his 20s Murdered in The Hides
Tragedy struck in The Hides yesterday evening when police found a man in his 20s fatally injured at an address. Officers rushed to the scene just before 5.40pm on Monday, November 8, but the victim was pronounced dead there.
Police Hunt Killer Who Fled Crime Scene
Detective Inspector Julie Gowen revealed the investigation is in its early stages. She said the suspect fled the property between 5.40pm and 5.55pm. She urged anyone with information or footage from dashcams, CCTV, or doorbells to come forward immediately.
“There is a possibility that this person may also have injuries or show signs of a struggle,” DI Gowen warned. “Police will maintain a strong presence in the area today. If you have any information, speak to an officer.”
Heavy Police Presence to Stay in The Hides
Chief Inspector Paul Austin promised a robust police operation over the next 24 hours. Additional officers will patrol the area alongside the Safer Harlow Partnership.
“If you have concerns or info, speak to officers on patrol or call 101,” Austin said. “Please quote incident 884 of 8 November.”
