Rail Chaos Alert: Great Northern, Southern, Thameslink, and Gatwick Express passengers face severe disruption on 16 and 18 March due to RMT strike action. Expect just a third of usual trains running — or none at all in some places.

Limited Trains, Long Delays

The strike will cause major headaches, with longer waits and jam-packed trains. Early morning and late-night services will be especially busy. Passengers should consider travelling later in the day or returning earlier, as no alternative transport will be provided.

Southern and Gatwick Express Limited Service

Southern aims to run more routes than on recent strike days, but all trains will start later and finish earlier than normal. Gatwick Express will also operate a restricted service. Expect late starts on strike aftermath days, 17 and 19 March.
