Blaze Hits Popular Three-Storey Pub in Orpington

A fire has broken out in the loft space of a detached, three-storey pub on Orpington High Street. Station Commander Chris Brown, on the scene, confirmed that firefighters are battling the flames from inside, supported by an aerial appliance.

Nine Evacuate Safely Before Fire Brigade Arrives

“Nine people left the building before the Brigade arrived and are thankfully all uninjured,” said Commander Brown. Fire crews are working hard to bring the blaze under control while carrying out salvage operations.

High Street Shut as Firefighters Tackle Flames

Orpington High Street remains closed while crews secure the scene. Locals are urged to stay clear and avoid the area until it’s safe.

The fire service was called at 7.30am Tuesday. Teams from Sidcup, Orpington, bromley/" title="Bromley" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bromley, and nearby stations rushed to the scene. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
