Teen Girl Fatally Stabbed in Camberwell – Man Arrested
A 17-year-old girl has been stabbed to death at a home in Camberwell. Police arrested a 21-year-old man at the scene and he is now being questioned on suspicion of murder.
Tragic Scene in Brisbane Street
The emergency services were called to Brisbane Street at 12:16pm on Thursday, 12 July after reports of a stabbing. Despite the rapid response from London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance, the teenager was pronounced dead at 1:02pm.
Suspect Known to Victim
Detectives revealed the suspect and victim knew each other. A weapon was seized from the scene, which remains cordoned off while forensic experts comb for clues. The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command and Southwark officers are leading the investigation.
Police Appeal for Information
A/DCI Domenica Catino from HMCC said: “A young woman has been fatally attacked and a 21-year-old man arrested at the scene. The suspect continues to be questioned by detectives and detailed enquiries including forensic analysis continues.”
