Man Dies After Street Disturbance in Rainham
Police rushed to Louise Gardens, Rainham at 7.53pm on Wednesday, December 1, following reports of a street disturbance involving a group of people. Paramedics and officers arrived to find a 37-year-old man unresponsive. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Woman Injured and Taken to Hospital
A woman was also discovered with a wrist injury and was quickly taken to hospital. Her condition is non-life-threatening, police confirmed.
Four Adults and Teen Arrested in Murder Inquiry
A crime scene remains in place as homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command investigate the incident. Four individuals aged between 21 and 48, plus a 17-year-old girl, were arrested on suspicion of murder. All were later released on bail, with return dates set for late December.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Formal identification of the deceased has not yet taken place, though next of kin have been informed. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting reference CAD 6386/1 Dec. Alternatively, tips can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
