Officers From The Essex Operational Support Group (osg) Made Eight Arrests Yesterday As They Continue To Target Those Intent On Causing You Harm

Undertaking a mixture of planned warrants, arrest attempts and proactive patrols, they made arrests in connection with investigations into the sale of drugs, a serious assault, and a sexual offence.
In addition, they carried out high visibility proactive patrols around Basildon supporting the Community Policing Team there, submitted eight intelligence reports, and carried out 27 stop and accounts.
Chief Inspector Darren Deex, who leads the OSG, said: “Yesterday’s activity highlights the variety of work my team carries out every day.
“Providing high visibility patrols provides reassurance to our communities, warrants are often the culmination of thorough investigation, while targeted arrest attempts mean we get specifically wanted people into our custody.
“My team will continue this work day-in, day-out to keep you safe.”
