Tragic Crash in SE9: Motorcyclist Killed in Early Morning Collision
Fatal Smash on Rochester Way
Police were scrambled at 6.35am on Wednesday, 2 March, after reports of a crash involving a van and motorcycle on Rochester Way, SE9.
Emergency Response
Officers arrived quickly alongside medics from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Despite their best efforts, the 57-year-old rider was declared dead at the scene just over 40 minutes later, at 7.16am.
His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
Driver Cooperating as Investigation Underway
The van driver stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with police inquiries.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are probing the fatal collision.
