Linked to Shocking Mobile Phone Robbery?

Officers are probing if this assault ties into a mobile phone robbery nearby at the same spot on 13 March. During that incident, a knife was brandished and threats made, but no one was hurt.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“Thankfully the young man’s injuries are not life-threatening but clearly whenever a knife is used there is always a serious risk of harm, which is why we treat knife crime so seriously,” said Detective Sergeant Lauren Morgan from Nottinghamshire Police.

“While I understand this incident may have caused concern for local residents, we have two suspects in custody and are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the enquiry.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and officers will be in the area today, speaking with people and gathering more evidence.”

“If you saw anything or have video footage of suspicious activity around the time, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 307 of 19 March 2022.”
