Prisoner Dashes from Court Transport in Just Underwear and Socks
Dorset Police are hunting Kyle Darren Eglington after he made a shocking escape from a court prisoner transport vehicle in Poole on Saturday morning.
Robbery Suspect Flees After Assaulting Security
The 32-year-old, charged with robbery linked to a Bournemouth incident on March 24, bolted from the vehicle at 11:13am on March 26 along Hardy Road. Officers say Eglington had just appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court the day before.
During his escape, Eglington assaulted security officers and fled wearing only his underwear and socks.
Police Launch Major Hunt with Helicopter Support
Dorset Police responded swiftly, teaming up with the NPAS helicopter and British Transport Police to comb the area for the fugitive.
Supt. Heather Dixey urged the public to stay vigilant:
“We have officers searching and making enquiries to catch Eglington and bring him back into custody. If you spot a man in just underwear and socks matching his description, do not approach him. Call 999 immediately.”
