Two women and a man have been arrested following reports of a street assault – UKNIP

 

A man suffered facial injuries after being attacked in the early hours of this morning (16 April 2022).

He remains in hospital and his injuries aren’t at this time believed to be life altering or life threatening.

The incident is understood to have taken place in Shelton Street, St Ann’s, at around 1.40am.

Officers were on the scene within minutes and quickly carried out enquiries.

Two women, aged 32 and 30, and a 53-year-old man were all arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They remain in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, so we’d ask that anyone who has any information that could assist us with our investigation comes forward as soon as possible.

“It should go without saying but violence of this nature is unacceptable and we will always do everything in our power as a force to keep this type of behaviour off our streets and make sure those involved are dealt with appropriately.”

Anyone who has information about the incident, or who may have recorded CCTV, mobile phone or dash-cam footage, is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 83 of 16 April 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
