Nottingham Football Brawl: Eight Arrested After Violent Scenes Outside Fat Cat Bar
Nottinghamshire Police have charged five more suspects following a violent outbreak involving football fans outside the Fat Cat bar in Chapel Bar, Nottingham. The chaos unfolded ahead of the FA Cup clash between Nottingham Forest and Leicester City on 6 February 2022.
Leicester Fans Smash Up City Centre Pub
Reports say a group of Leicester City supporters unleashed havoc, smashing windows and hurling chairs and tables outside the busy bar. Bystanders feared for their safety amid the rampage.
Officers acted fast after receiving calls and have since poured over CCTV footage, leading to further arrests and charges.
Police Crack Down: 8 Arrests So Far
- Two men, aged 24 and 36, were arrested on 22 April on suspicion of violent disorder and released under investigation.
- A 24-year-old man was arrested back on 7 April and also released under investigation.
- Five others – Tyrone Smith (37), Craig Jones (23), Przemyslaw Danik (41), Neil Munden (53), and Craig Flint (40) – have been charged with violent disorder.
Smith, Munden, and Flint pleaded guilty at Nottingham Crown Court on 19 April and await sentencing in July. Danik and Jones are due back in court on 26 April.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry said: “The actions of those involved were completely unacceptable, causing awful scenes in the city centre.”
“There is no place for this in our society. Our officers have worked tirelessly over recent months to identify everyone involved.”
“We’ve now arrested eight suspects, but the investigation continues. We’ve released images of another man we want to speak to.”

The force remains committed to bringing all those responsible for the disorder to justice as inquiries press on.
