For those not in the know, London Luton Airport sits north-west of London, miles away from Gatwick, which is down south. So having a Luton welcome sign at Gatwick is a hilarious geographic gaffe.

This cheeky switch-up echoes a famous prank in Sydney, where “Welcome to Perth” was painted on a rooftop in the suburb of Sydenham – confusing locals and tourists alike.
Whoever is behind the “Welcome to Luton” sign clearly has a sense of humour. We just hope no one missed their flight because of it!
