Police have launched a murder probe after a 55-year-old man was fatally shot in London.
Terrifying Shooting Rocks Brent
Officers stormed to West End Close, Brent, at 9:35pm on Friday, 19 December after reports of gunfire. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and gave first aid, but the victim was sadly declared dead at the spot.
Met Police Hunt Gunman
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, head of the Specialist Crime Team, said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this incredibly difficult time.”
He added, “Enquiries are well under way, and my team is working at pace to determine the circumstances that led to this man’s tragic death.”
Urgent Appeal to Witnesses
Detective John confirmed police have ramped up patrols in the area and vowed this investigation remains top priority.
“We believe a large group was nearby when this happened. We want to hear from them,” he urged, calling on anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward immediately.
