Tragedy on the Road: 69-Year-Old Biker Killed in Crash

A fatal collision has rocked the quiet roads between Amotherby and Marton. At 4.45pm on Saturday 28 August 2021, a blue Kawasaki motorcycle and a blue Suzuki Swift collided, leaving a 69-year-old Essex biker dead at the scene.

Suzuki Driver Arrested but Released Under Investigation

The Suzuki’s 24-year-old driver from Malton escaped unharmed. He was arrested but has now been released under investigation as police continue their inquiries.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Officers urge anyone who was driving between Amotherby and Marton from 4.45pm to 5.15pm, especially those with dashcams, to come forward. Police are particularly keen to speak to the driver and passengers of a dark-coloured car spotted just ahead of the crash on the route towards Malton.
