M2 Eastbound Shut: Major Incident Near Medway Bridge
The M2 in Kent is completely closed eastbound between junctions 2 and 3 after a Kent Police-led incident.
Officers remain on scene close to the Medway Bridge.
Follow This Diversion Now
Drivers are urged to follow the Solid Circle diversion signs to avoid delays.
- Leave the M2 at junction 1 and join the A289 eastbound.
- Stay on A289 through Four Elms roundabout, Medway Tunnel, Lower Gillingham, Yokosuka Way, and Ito Way until you reach the A2 roundabout.
- Turn eastbound onto the A2, proceed to the A278 roundabout, then take the A278 southbound to rejoin the M2 at junction 4.
