Firefighters rushed to West Heath Close in Hampstead after a huge 6-metre steel joist, weighing around 4 tonnes, crashed down onto construction workers.

Four Workers Treated, But No One Trapped

Luckily, no one was trapped under the wreckage. London Ambulance Service treated four people at the scene for injuries.

Quick Response from Fire Brigade

The fire brigade was on site fast, arriving just after the emergency call at 11.14am. Three fire engines from West Hampstead, Kentish Town, and Hendon were dispatched to secure the area.

Firefighters quickly made the scene safe and set up a hazard zone. The incident was wrapped up by 12.09pm, preventing further danger.
