Massive Blaze Destroys Derelict Pavilion in Harrow

Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters rushed to tackle a fierce fire tonight at a derelict pavilion on Preston Road, Harrow.

The blaze completely destroyed the pavilion on the grassland. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Fire Brigade Bombarded with Calls

The Brigade’s Control Office received 23 emergency calls about the fire. Firefighters from Wembley, Stanmore, Northolt, Mill Hill, and nearby stations sprang into action.

Firefighters Battle Blaze for Over Two Hours

The brigade was alerted at 5:48 p.m. and got the flames under control by 8 p.m. Crews stayed on-site into the evening to damp down hotspots.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the fire’s cause.
