Man Murdered at Train Station – Suspect in Custody
Police raced to a train station at 11:43pm on July 30 after reports of an injured man on platform eight. Despite emergency crews’ quick response, the man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested at Scene
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody this morning. The victim’s family has been informed and is receiving support from trained family liaison officers.
Violent Altercation Before Death
“This is an unnecessary act of violence that has resulted in the tragic loss of a man’s life,” said Detective Chief Inspector Paul Langley. “We believe the two men had an altercation onboard a train before the victim was attacked on platform eight.”
