Man Slashed in Crawley Dog Walk Attack

Sussex Police are hunting a knifewielding thug after a serious assault in Crawley.

The 34-year-old victim was attacked just after 5.30pm on Wednesday (November 2) in a wooded area near Ifield Avenue’s playing fields.

Victim Hospitalised with Knife Wounds

The man was walking his dog across Willoughby playing fields when the suspect struck. Officers say the victim suffered wounds consistent with a bladed weapon. Emergency crews from SECAmb treated him at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Thankfully, he has since been discharged.

Suspect Description and Appeal for Witnesses

The attacker, described as a man in his 20s wearing a tracksuit, launched into a scuffle but left empty-handed. Police believe the suspect is unknown to the victim.
