Hackney Police shared details of the incident in a statement, informing the public that Islington and Edmonton stations are the nearest. Both are open 24-hours. Stoke Newington police station is currently closed after a man died in the front office area shortly before 7pm on Sat 5 Nov,’ a spokesman said. At no point was he detained or arrested by officers and he entered the front office of his own volition. The circumstances are under investigation.
