Water Woes Hit South East: Kilndown and Hawkhurst Left Dry
South East Water has apologised to customers in Kilndown, Hawkhurst, Sandhurst, and Northiam suffering from low or no water pressure. A crucial pumping station went offline early Sunday due to problems at a local treatment plant.
Technicians Race to Fix Fault
Expert teams have been on site since dawn, battling to restore water supplies. The fault has severely slashed treated drinking water availability in the affected areas.
Help on Hand for Vulnerable Residents
South East Water activated its free Priority Services Register to support the most vulnerable customers. Staff delivered bottled water to those on the scheme and opened two bottled water stations on Sunday morning. These stations will reopen if needed.
More updates to follow as the situation develops.
