Lewes Committee Signs Off on Huge Development
The Lewes Planning Applications Committee has given the green light for a major redevelopment of Newhaven Marina. This ambitious plan will transform the waterfront with fresh new buildings and facilities.

- Demolition of old structures to clear the way.
- Phased construction of 259 residential apartments.
- 141 retirement living apartments, complete with ample parking.
- Up to 3,500m² of commercial space including a restaurant, marina-related retail and workshops, offices, and clubrooms.
- A 50-bed apart-hotel with its own gym and parking.
- Riverside walkways and berthing facilities for boats.
Six Phases of Transformation
The entire project will roll out over six phases, starting with demolishing existing buildings in each area. The marina pontoons will be adjusted and reconfigured throughout construction to keep everything shipshape.
