Pedestrian Hit Near Merlin Way Bridge in Early Morning Crash
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at around 2:30am today near the Merlin Way bridge. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends during this tragic time.
Road Closures to Cause Chaos on A419
Both carriageways of the A419 at Dorcan Way and at the White Hart roundabout near the Honda factory will be closed until late tonight. Drivers are warned to expect major delays, especially during rush hour.
Allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes to avoid gridlock.
Police Hunt Witnesses & Dashcam Footage
Investigations are ongoing to uncover exactly what happened. Police urge anyone who drove on the A419 in the early hours to check their vehicles for damage and report any concerns.
They are also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage from the area at that time.
