At 3.17 a.m. on Sunday, a fire erupted in a first-floor flat on Fairisle Close, Clifton. The two-storey residential property was quickly engulfed in smoke, sparking a desperate emergency response.
Young Siblings Die, Woman Critically Injured
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed a woman was critically injured in the blaze. Paramedics treated the victims for smoke inhalation at the scene before rushing them to Queen’s Medical Centre.
Tragically, two toddlers – aged one and three – were pronounced dead despite rescue efforts.
