The incident happened on Saturday, 2 February 2019, when emergency services rushed to a Maghull home to find a blue BMW 320 ablaze. The vehicle, belonging to Foster’s ex-partner, was completely destroyed with damages over £20,000. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Detectives Praise Sentence, Urge Victims to Speak Out
“Foster’s violent actions no doubt brought fear and distress to the residents of Maghull back in 2019,” said Detective Constable Richard Hague. “Setting someone’s car alight is a violent and callous act.”
“No one should live in fear of domestic abuse or assault from a partner or ex-partner. The court’s sentence sends a strong message and helps protect others,” he added.
“I encourage anyone suffering domestic abuse to report it. We will support you every step of the way.”
