Tens of thousands of passengers have been disrupted by drone flying over one of the UK’s busiest airports.
Heathrow runway has been shut since just after 8pm, as devices have been repeatedly flying over the airfield.
An airline revealed that flights were currently cancelled until further notice
The airport has advised that the runway would not open “until it was safe to do so.
The shutdown started just after 8 pm on Friday, when the drone was spotted flying “over the perimeter fence and into where the runway operates from”.
