M2 SHUT WESTBOUND AFTER SERIOUS CRASH – LONG DELAYS EXPECTED
The M2 in Kent is completely closed westbound towards London between Junction 6 (Perry Court Interchange) and Junction 5 (Stockbury Interchange) due to a major collision.
Emergency Crews on Scene
Kent Police, South East Ambulance Service, and National Highways Traffic Officers are attending the scene. The crash is severe, requiring a full collision investigation.
Road Closure to Last for Hours

Official Diversion Route in Place
Follow signs marked with a solid square symbol for the diversion:
- Exit M2 westbound at J2
- Turn left onto A251 southbound
- At Challock roundabout, take third exit onto A252 westbound
- Follow A252 to Charing roundabout with A20
- Take third exit onto A20 towards maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone
- Stay on A20 to M20 J8 and join M20 westbound
- Exit M20 at J7, then third exit onto A249 northbound
- Follow A249 to M2 J5
- At J5 roundabout, take third exit to rejoin M2 westbound
