Tragic Search Continues for Missing Teen Liam Buchan
A teenager plunged into danger while swimming on Saturday, sparking a massive rescue operation that is still ongoing. Despite the heroic efforts of Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service, and HM Coastguard, the teen, Liam Buchan, remains missing.
Mountain Rescue and Specialist Units Join the Hunt
On Monday, Police Scotland and Tayside mountain rescue teams combed the river banks for any sign of Liam. Diving and marine specialists are also on the case, lending their expertise to the search. Inspector Grant McGaughay vowed, “We are committed to supporting Liam’s family throughout this tough time and keeping them fully updated on all developments.“
Family Pleads for Safety and Thanks Community
Liam’s family expressed heartfelt thanks to the emergency crews and the Edzell community for their support. They also issued a stark warning: “Please do not put yourselves at risk by attempting to help in the search if you are not properly trained or equipped.”
