Nottingham Man Busted After Sneinton Break-In
Police swooped on Windmill View, Sneinton, Nottingham, after a 999 call reported a break-in at a neighbour’s home around 10pm on 11 June 2023.
The intruder smashed through a conservatory window and made off with several games consoles.
Forensic Team and CCTV Crack Case
Detectives launched a full forensic probe inside the house. They also reviewed CCTV footage and conducted door-to-door enquiries to track down the culprit.
John McSalley Charged With Burglary
Thirty-nine-year-old John McSalley, from Victoria Road, Netherfield, has been formally charged with one count of burglary.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (2 August) and was remanded in custody until 30 August 2023.
Police Vow Tough Stance on Burglars
Detective Constable Colin Kirkup said: “Burglary is a priority for the force because of the devastating impact it can have on victims. No one should wake up or come home to find their belongings have been ransacked by an intruder.
“All house break-ins are thoroughly investigated and we have a team of detectives working hard to catch burglars and bring them to justice. I’m pleased we have charged this suspect and placed them before the courts.”
