White Cliffs Visitor Centre Bags Bronze at South East Tourism Awards

The White Cliffs Visitor Information Centre shone bright at the South East England tourism awards, scooping the Bronze Award for Visitor Information Service of the Year. The ceremony took place at Brighton’s Grand Hotel on Tuesday, 13 December, with nearly 300 guests in attendance.

Top-Notch Service Recognised

The award praised providers offering outstanding service both face-to-face and online. Based at Dover Museum, the White Cliffs Visitor Information Centre stood out for its exceptional help and support to tourists.

Dover’s Tourism Importance Highlighted

Cllr Trevor Bartlett, Leader of Dover District Council, said: “We congratulate everyone at the White Cliffs Visitor Information Centre on achieving this award. We are delighted that the excellent service and hard work of the staff have been recognised in this way.”

He added that tourism is a vital sector for Dover, with a £201 million contribution in 2021 and accounting for 15% of all local jobs.
