Brutal Acid Attack in Thornton Heath Shocks Locals

On Monday, 7 December 2020, two men were walking along Thornton Road, Thornton Heath, when a stranger suddenly doused them with corrosive liquid at around 8:10am. The attacker then fled towards Limpsfield Avenue.

One Victim Left Blind After Horrific Assault

Both victims were rushed to hospital. Tragically, one has suffered permanent loss of sight. The shocking assault has left the local community reeling.

Victim Had Previous Violent Encounter With Suspect

In a chilling statement, one victim revealed the same man had visited his home in September, claiming to deliver a letter. When the victim reached for it, the man struck him in the face with a bicycle chain wrapped around his fist.

Police Hunt Man in Blue Medical Mask

The attacker remains at large with no known motive or identity. He is described as a slim white or Asian man in his 30s. At the time, he wore a long black jacket with the hood up, black trousers, shoes, and a blue medical mask.
