Early this morning, around 50 tonnes of household rubbish went up in flames, sending thick smoke billowing over the area.
Residents Told to Stay Indoors
Locals were urged to keep their doors and windows shut to avoid inhaling the toxic smoke. Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries so far.
Firefighters Battle Blaze for Hours

- Fire crews from Surbiton and nearby stations rushed to the scene.
- The blaze was brought under control by 9.16am.
- Firefighters remain on site, soaking down hot spots to stop any flare-ups.
