The quiet night on Risden Lane turned nasty between 11pm Friday 7 January and 7.30am Saturday 8 January 2022. Thieves struck three commercial properties, making off with a haul that’s hitting local businesses hard.
Power Tools, Utility Vehicle, and Trailer Stolen in Raid
Burglars didn’t mess about, nicking a large stash of power tools, a metal tool chest, a Gator utility vehicle, and even a trailer. The theft has left companies counting the cost and police hunting suspects.
Police Urge Locals to Check Dashcams
PC Sophie Gates, leading the investigation, warned: “These crimes will have a significant impact on the businesses that were targeted. We’re appealing for anyone with info to come forward.”
Officers are trawling CCTV and urge drivers who were in Hawkhurst during the break-ins to review dashcam footage – your clip could crack the case.
