Piccadilly Line Closure: TfL Announces Major Upgrades and Line Shutdown

On 20 May, shortly after 8 p.m., a man attempted to rob a passenger on a District line train travelling between Notting Hill Gate and Wimbledon stations.
The suspect was identified, and while being apprehended, he assaulted one officer and racially abused another.
A 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released under investigation pending further investigation.
Officers want to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, especially a woman who identified the man to officers at Wimbledon station.
