A Body Was Recovered From The Sea Off The Coast Of The Isle Of Wight

  Bembridge The RNLI’s All-Weather Lifeboat (RNLB Alfred Albert Williams) was launched this afternoon (Sunday) to assist in the recovery of a casualty seen by the crew of a Brittany ferry 10 nautical miles south-east of Bembridge. At 4.57 p.m., RNLB Alfred Albert Williams was launched at the request of Solent Coastguard to assist in the search.   HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175 was also involved in the search and reported finding a body around 6.20 p.m. At 7.45 p.m., the lifeboat was tasked with recovering the casualty and returning to Bembridge, where the crew was met by the Police and other emergency teams.
