Man Held Over Kai McGinley Murder
A 23-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 16 March, on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
Four Others Charged Over Shooting Death
The police have already charged four people linked to the murder of 24-year-old Kai McGinley. Among them:
Both were charged on Thursday, 9 March. Additionally, a 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and a 53-year-old man was arrested for conspiracy to murder – both have been bailed pending further enquiries. A 17-year-old boy previously arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder has been released without charge.
Tragic Shooting on Pembroke Road
The tragedy unfolded on Thursday, 9 February, around 8:50pm when police were called to reports of gunshots on Pembroke Road.
Emergency teams from the London Ambulance Service found Kai McGinley with a gunshot wound. Despite heroic efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police continue to investigate the chilling circumstances surrounding the shooting.
