Man Assaulted Near The Bridgeway Centre in The Meadows

A 40-year-old man was attacked near The Bridgeway Centre in The Meadows on Sunday evening. He managed to get to hospital, and thankfully, his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police Hunt Continues After Early Morning Arrest

The assault happened between 8pm and 8.30pm on 2 April 2023. Nottinghamshire Police are digging into the full details. They’ve been scouring CCTV footage and following multiple leads.

In the early hours of Tuesday, officers arrested a 19-year-old man in St Ann’s. He’s now being questioned on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Detective Urges Witnesses to Come Forward

“This was a nasty assault which resulted in the victim needing hospital treatment for a serious wound to his arm,” said Detective Sergeant Alan Prentice.

“Violence like this won’t be tolerated. We act swiftly and robustly to investigate.

“While we’ve arrested a suspect, inquiries continue. Anyone who saw what happened or who has CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to get in touch.”
