Man Charged with Murder of Police Community Support Officer Julia James
Fatal Attack in Kent Woods
Callum Wheeler, 21, from Aylesham, has been charged with the murder of Police Community Support Officer Julia James. Julia, 53, was found dead beside Akholt Wood in Snowdown on Tuesday, 27 April 2021, just before 4pm.
Swift Police Action
Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate arrested Wheeler on Friday, 7 May 2021. Three days later, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a murder charge against him.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Wheeler remains in custody and is set to appear via video link at Medway Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 11 May 2021.
