Wiltshire Police are hunting witnesses after a woman was knocked down and seriously hurt by a silver BMW in Swindon. The shocking hit-and-run happened on Sunday, January 21, around 5:30 pm.

Car Crashes Into Pedestrian Then Flees

The car, believed to be a BMW 5 Series, was turning from Whiteman Street into an alley behind MBROS Convenience Store when it struck a woman in her 30s. She suffered potentially serious leg injuries.

But the worst is yet to come — the driver didn’t stop. Instead, they reversed back onto Whiteman Street and sped off, leaving the injured pedestrian behind.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Wiltshire Police have launched an urgent appeal for anyone who saw the incident to come forward. “Any detail, no matter how small, could be crucial,” a spokesperson said.

The force is desperate to track the hit-and-run driver and bring them to justice.
