Man Dies After Brutal Assault Near Canvey Island Pub
Shock Attack in the Early Hours
Police rushed to the car park of the Iceland store on Furtherwick Road just before 1:45 a.m. today (Saturday, February 4), after reports of a seriously injured man.
The victim had been allegedly assaulted near The Haystack pub moments earlier.
Tragic Death at the Scene
Despite emergency crews’ desperate efforts, the man tragically died at the scene.

Officers have cordoned off a large area around Furtherwick Road and Long Road on Canvey Island as the investigation continues. Authorities warn of disruptions throughout the day in the town centre.
