Brutal Night Attack in Newark: Man Knocked Out Cold
Just after 2am on Sunday, 26 March, two brothers were viciously attacked in Middle Gate, Newark. What started as a simple night out turned into a nightmare when three men launched an unprovoked assault.
Victim Sent to Hospital, Brother Hurt
A 39-year-old man was knocked unconscious and rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre. His brother escaped with minor injuries but both are shaken after the savage attack.
Police Release CCTV Images, Hunt for Attackers
Detective Inspector Paul Lefford appealed to the public for help. “This horrendous attack has caused immeasurable distress to the family and friends of the victim,” he said. The brothers were heading to The Duck pub when the assault happened.
“Do you know these three men? Are you one of them? Contact us immediately,” said DI Lefford. Police have released CCTV images of the suspects and want anyone with info to come forward.
