Police Chase Ends in Ruddington Crash and Foot Pursuit
Nottinghamshire’s Road Crime Team spotted a familiar car in Welbeck Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, just before 8pm on Monday (10 April).
The vehicle was shadowed by another car earlier reported stolen. When officers signalled the second car to stop, it sped off, sparking a dramatic police chase.
Suspect Crashes Then Runs – Cops Give Chase on Foot
The stolen car crashed in Ruddington. One suspect fled on foot across nearby fields but was quickly caught by officers.
Meanwhile, other police followed the original car and arrested another suspect close by.
Two Men Charged Over Vehicle Theft
- Louis Denham, 26, of no fixed abode
- Timothy Wilson, 38, of Rodwell Close, Beechdale, Nottingham
Both appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (12 April), charged with motor vehicle theft.
Police Praise Teamwork in Tackling Vehicle Crime
“We are working hard as a force to prevent vehicle crime and bring offenders to justice,” said Sergeant Neil Haynes of Nottinghamshire Police.
“This was a great piece of work by the Road Crime Team, alongside Armed Response, the Dog Section, response officers, and control room staff.”
The Road Crime Team targets vehicle theft, fuel theft, cloned plates, and other crimes involving vehicles, helping protect communities across Nottinghamshire.
