Nottingham Man Arrested Over String of Thefts and Robbery Threat

Police are clamping down after a spate of crimes hit Nottingham city centre earlier this year. Cash was stolen from a flat on Upper Parliament Street on 12 April, and a bank card was swiped from a bar on Market Street back in February. The card’s owner was later informed it had been fraudulently used.

In a separate alarming case, a 17-year-old boy was reportedly threatened by a man demanding money and his phone in Noel Street, Hyson Green, on 30 March. This prompted an urgent police inquiry.

Police Vow Tough Action Against Crime

Detective Sergeant Alan Prentice said: “The force treats all reports of burglary and robbery extremely seriously. These types of offences cause immense distress to victims which is why we continue to work hard every day to keep people safe.

“We continue to take a zero-tolerance approach to this sort of criminality, and we will always strive to seek justice for victims and put suspects before the courts at the earliest opportunity.”
