Gun and Drug Gang Busted: Nearly 50 Years of Jail Time Handed Out
Tareanio Blake, from Peakdale Avenue, Crumpsall, was slammed with a hefty 19-year jail sentence at Manchester Crown Court on Friday, April 21. He was found guilty of conspiracy to sell or transfer banned weapons, conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Criminal Crew Locked Up Across Manchester and the North West
The gang’s total prison haul nears 50 years for their roles in an illegal empire dealing heroin, cocaine, and firearms throughout Greater Manchester and the North West.
Other Key Players Behind Bars
- Mohammed Shahid of Wilton Road, Crumpsall, got 12 years and 9 months after admitting to conspiracy to sell firearms and supply heroin and cocaine.
- Ali Hamza from Whiston Road, Crumpsall, was sentenced to 9 years for possession of two prohibited firearms and conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.
- Holly Caldwell of King Edward Road, St Helens, received 7 years for possession of six banned firearms and conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.
The other three criminals had already pled guilty and been sentenced in June and December 2022. This crackdown sends a clear message: gun and drug crime won’t be tolerated in our communities.
