Suspicious burglary alert sparks police raid

A vigilant member of the public tipped off police after spotting a possible break-in at a Radford Boulevard home just after 9.30am on Friday, 28 April.

Officers arrived to discover two upstairs windows flung open beside a ladder – a red flag for a burglary attempt.

Huge cannabis haul uncovered inside

Upon searching the house, cops seized 89 cannabis plants spread over three rooms. No suspects were caught on the premises.

Investigation underway, police appeal for info

PC Chris Cutts, leading the probe, said: “We take reports like these seriously and will thoroughly investigate to bring offenders to justice.”

“Our investigation is ongoing. We urge anyone with info or CCTV footage from the area to contact us immediately.”
