Knife horror in Dogsthorpe alleyway ends in jail

Last June, a drug deal turned violent in a Dogsthorpe alley, leaving a man in his 40s stabbed and fighting for his life.

Chilling attack on Welland Road

On the evening of 27 June 2022, the victim and an associate arrived at a car park near Spar on Welland Road around 10.20pm. They were set to collect drugs from 24-year-old Callum Bell.

The pair approached the alleyway opposite the store, where Bell was waiting with 19-year-old Samuel Estifanos.

Knife ambush turns deadly

Without warning, Bell whipped out a large knife and attacked the victim. The man tried to escape but tripped on a kerb. Estifanos then appeared, brandishing a serrated machete.

Estifanos stabbed the victim multiple times, leaving the blade lodged in the side of his neck before fleeing the scene.

Quick-thinking taxi driver saves life

A passing taxi stopped and called an ambulance. The victim was rushed to Peterborough 123 hospital for emergency treatment.

Bell, who has no fixed address, was sentenced to four and a half years behind bars for his part in the brutal assault.
