Trainee Surgeon Suspended Over Explosive Anti-Israel Social Media Rants
A trainee surgeon has been slapped with a 15-month suspension over inflammatory antisemitic and pro-terrorism posts online. Dr Rahmeh Aladwan, 31, faces serious allegations for celebrating the Hamas terror attacks on October 7 as “the day Israel was humiliated,” while refusing to condemn the horrific assault that killed more than 1,200 people.
Interim Suspension to Protect Public Trust
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) ordered the suspension this Wednesday to maintain faith in the medical profession. Despite the shocking claims, the tribunal confirmed there’s no evidence that Dr Aladwan, a British-Palestinian trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, harmed any patients. The ban will be reviewed every six months as the General Medical Council (GMC) digs deeper, with the possibility she could be struck off permanently.
Shocking Social Media Posts Under Fire
- Accusing Jews of “supremacy” and making Nazi comparisons
- Denying rapes reported by the UN during the October 7 attacks
- Targeting Jewish leaders, including Britain’s Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis
- Branding the Royal Free Hospital a “Jewish supremacy cesspit”
- Refusing to condemn Hamas terror and backing “armed resistance”
Dr Aladwan’s legal team insists she has a spotless clinical record and claims the case is politically motivated by lobby groups, not genuine patient safety concerns. She denies her comments amount to antisemitism or terrorism support.
Second Tribunal After Controversial September Ruling
This is the second tribunal investigating Dr Aladwan’s conduct in months. In September, a panel declined to suspend her, citing free speech and no direct patient risk—despite evidence including alleged throat-slitting gestures and Holocaust denial. That decision sparked outrage among politicians and Jewish communities.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting blasted the ruling, saying he had “no confidence in our regulation system” and called Dr Aladwan’s posts “sickening” and “completely unacceptable in the NHS.”
Regulators now say her posts have worsened, providing new evidence that she justified terrorism and denied sexual violence during the October 7 attacks.
Public Confidence at Risk Amid Serious Allegations
The tribunal warned these allegations are “of the utmost seriousness” and pose a major threat to public trust in doctors if proven true. They noted a “high risk of repetition” given the ongoing troubling posts. Dr Aladwan’s legal team hit back, accusing regulators of political persecution and “lawfare,” claiming the medical watchdog is weaponising the system to punish her beliefs, not address real misconduct.
