Shooting Shocker in Derry: Man Targeted in Marianus Park

Detectives have launched a probe after a shooting rocked Derry/Londonderry late on Sunday, 17th September. Cops were scrambled just before 11.15pm when a man was found injured near Marianus Park.

Victim Hit in Both Legs – But Alive and Kicking

The victim, a man in his twenties, suffered gunshot wounds to both calves. Emergency services arrived swiftly, with paramedics rushing him to a local hospital. Luckily, police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Two Masked Assailants on the Run

Detective Sergeant Ballentine revealed the attack was carried out by two masked attackers. Officers from Strand Road’s Criminal Investigation Branch are digging into the case, eager to piece together what happened that night.
