Huge Blaze Erupts at Berkshire Business Park – 50 Firefighters Battle Flames!
Seven fire crews from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service rolled out early Saturday to tackle a massive fire at Lakeside Business Park, Swan Lane. The alarm was raised at around 7.30am, sending firefighters from sandhurst/" title="Sandhurst" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Sandhurst, Road, Bracknell, and Yateley rushing to the scene.
Firefighters Smash Their Way Inside to Fight Flames
Firefighters had to break into the business unit, home to APB CNC, a company that manufactures X-ray apparatus and supplies. The blaze reportedly started when one of the machines caught fire, sending thick black smoke billowing through the roof.
“When I arrived this morning the road was full of fire engines with smoke everywhere,” said a man claiming to be the brother of business owner Adam Busby.
Smoke and Fire Damage Devastates Business Premises
Six firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, entered the building, deploying three jets and two hose reels to get the flames under control. The fire caused significant damage to the building and left other parts smoke-logged.
Roads Closed, But No Injuries Reported
Thames Valley Police shut nearby roads to keep the area safe. Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured in the incident, but the business faces a tough recovery ahead.
