Park Ranger Brutally Attacked by Off-Road Bikers at Langsett Reservoir

Authorities are hunting down a gang of off-road bikers after a vicious assault on a park ranger near Langsett Reservoir, Barnsley. The shocking attack happened around 12:30pm on Sunday, September 24.

Ranger Left Unconscious with Broken Jaw

The victim was on duty when he confronted a large group of off-road riders tearing through the area. Eyewitnesses say the ranger tried to stop them. A violent scuffle broke out, leaving the ranger unconscious and with a broken jaw.

After the assault, the bikers bolted towards Brook House Lane, then sped off along the A616.

Police Seek Witnesses and Biker Identities

Sergeant Shirley from the Off-Road Bike Team is desperate to ID those involved. “We’re appealing to the riders captured on video to come forward and help with our investigation,” she said.

“We’re also appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or witnessed the assault.”
